Will Smith is ready to become a producer alongside Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy

According to Deadline, Will Smith is joining hands with Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy to create an adaptation of Marcus Sakey’s Brilliance. This is the first project he is taking on as a producer after the infamous incident. Smith has been following this project for many years, and now he has finally got the chance to do it.

The 54-year-old star will be producing Brilliance under his Westbrook Studios in collaboration with Jon Mone and Ryan Shimazaki. It is also assumed that the new start will be uplifting for Smith as many influential people are a part of it. Chinoy, who is a two-time Oscar winner, and Akiva Goldsman wrote the script and have already worked with Smith.

Moreover, the movie focuses on the life of Nick Cooper, a federal agent who is assigned to find out the people called Brilliants. The adaptation is set in the future, where 1% of the world population has extraordinary gifts of physical and mental intelligence.

So the government wishes to find and label them for their benefit. However, the twist here is that Nick himself is a special human with the ability to foresee the future. So he tries to save the world from the upcoming disastrous civil war and hunt the people behind it.
