It is no wonder that Friends cast some talented faces to play the leading roles of a humor-loving gang living in NYC. But the show was never short of star cameos. In its run of ten seasons, many popular faces of the industry popped up in various roles and story arcs. Among those actors who received praise for their appearance included Bruce Willis. People who have watched it might remember that he played the love interest of Jennifer Aniston in the series. However, were you aware that he felt uneasy doing kissing scenes with the actress?

Matthew Perry’s friendship with Bruce Willis landed the latter a cameo in Friends. It all started with a bet between the two and when the actor lost, he appeared in the series. He was introduced to the show as Paul Stevens through Rachel Green, who met him in Central Park while he was trying to find his keys. Soon after that, the audience found them dating and spending time with one another.

Sadly, their relationship did not last long because of his incessant crying about childhood misery. And though the characters did not look uncomfortable around each other, the actors certainly did. The Emmy winner found it awkward doing intimate scenes with the American actress because he was a close friend of her then-husband Brad Pitt.

Bruce Willis indeed did a great job getting along with the cast members of Friends. But it was not so easy for every cameo actor to fit into the environment. Considering it was more like a live play with audiences and not any regular film set. In an interview with Variety last year, Aniston opened up about how some actors felt rattled during their time on screen.

“It was like, ‘Who are these people laughing at what I’m saying,'” she told the publication. Matt LeBlanc also agreed with the actress about this and noted that the excellent scripts saved most of the guest stars. This included Sean Penn, who struggled to adapt from what behind-the-scene shots showed and seemed lost most of the time during his appearance.
