Despite everything, the mother of four did not feel like she was given the respect she deserved before she met Kanye West. She saw a definite boost to her celebrity status once she made things official with the College Dropout rapper. 

Kim Kardashian divulged information about her relationship with her ex-husband in an interview last year. As a socialite, she had to mingle with several people in the higher strata. However, she didn’t feel like she was treated respectfully. But things changed when she started dating Kanye West. As the rapper started introducing her to different people at different parties, she felt a shift in people’s attitudes toward her. She realized that she had gained a different level of respect.

“I mean, when I was with Kanye, and he was introducing me to a lot of people, I think that definitely got a lot of people to have a different level of respect,” she confessed during a 2022 interview with Mel Ottenberg, the chief editor of Interview. 

Kardashian and West had a whirlwind of romance in 2012. They tied the knot in 2014 and soon welcomed their first kid, North. 3 others followed her later. However, the happy family was not so happy after all, as the couple split last year. After their split, both of them were involved in high-profile relationships. The Kardashian sister was in a relationship with Pete Davidson, and West had Uncut Gems star, Julia Fox. After breaking it off with Fox, West made major headlines when he married Bianca Censori.

After their split, the couple retained equal rights over their kids. Kardashian, at present, prioritizes her kids and wants this co-parenting setup to work out.
