Among those who feel the Oscar-winning actor deserves another chance is Bai Ling, who worked with Smith in the 1999 action movie, Wild Wild West.

Bai Ling on forgiving Will Smith for the Oscar Slap gate
As we all know, Smith has been going through a rough patch following the Oscar controversy with Chris Rock. Even though the actor has given his best efforts to seek forgiveness, all his efforts are in vain. Most of his projects are canceled or on hold and the actor struggles to redeem himself. However, a few celebrities have stood by the actor during this rough patch of his life.

And one of them who came to Smith’s defense is Wild Wild West star, Bai Ling. The Entourage and Lost star revealed in an interview, “The mistake he made was not good. It needs to be recognized and changed. When he comes back, he will be a much better person. We have to forgive — we all have made mistakes.” However, the actress clarified that she in no way support what Smith did but feels that the Gemini Man actor also deserves to be forgiven.

Recently, comedian Chris Rock returned to the Oscars and even took a dig at Will Smith. And it seems like the comedian is yet to accept Smith’s apology. On the other hand, the Men in Black actor is gearing up for Emancipation, his first release since the Oscar drama.
