Netflix is peeling back the skin on its next round of UNTOLD stories, which includes The Fall of Favre, chronicling the life of Brett Favre, the Green Bay Packers legend. Despite his illustrious career on the field, Favre’s life was dented with unkind off-field charges. UNTOLD explores the claims against Favre, and according to director Rebecca Gitlitz, the Netflix series shows how “when fame rises, sometimes accountability falls.”

Gitlitz acknowledges The Fall of Favre as a story of one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. But besides reflecting on his success and triumphs, UNTOLD unpacks his life beyond “touchdowns and epic wins.” UNTOLD goes as far as to ask the audience, “If success should be a shield for harmful behavior?” The claims against Favre came from former New York Jets employee Jenn Sterger, who reportedly denied his request for her phone number, but still claimed to have received explicit texts that impacted her career.
