The story of an artist who is the true inspiration of major pop icons of today's generation arrives in the form of a new documentary, titled Selena y Los Dinos, helmed by Isabel Castro and executive–produced by Selena Quintanilla‑Pérez's brother and sister, Suzette Quintanilla and A.B. Quintanilla III, and producer Michele Anthony. The movie comprises the family's private archive of home videos, unseen pics, and raw audio gathered over the years. It maps Quintanilla‑Pérez's path from childhood in Texas, through leading her family band, to stadium sell-outs and transforming Tejano music.

Selena y Los Dinos' painstaking production took hundreds of hours of archive footage that were sorted at Q-Productions by director Castro and her team, traveling back and forth to script and log them into their catalog. Care and collaboration within the family have won it wide acclaim before its streaming release. It turned heads at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it was awarded the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Archival Storytelling, and the Audience Awards at both SXSW and Miami Film Festival, for its reflection of the singer's enduring influence.
