Amidst the intense war between the mages and other supernatural beings, there was one person who kept the mood light in The Witcher series, Jaskier, the loving bard. Telling the stories of the time, Jaskier is now getting a rival in the upcoming season of the Netflix drama while Henry Cavill plays his role for the last time. In the upcoming season, the viewers will see a bard-off between Jaskier and Valdo Marx. But before Marx has an encounter with Jaskier, he has already sent fans into a frenzy over just one thing. 

In the first season of the show, there was a mention of Valdo Marx when Jaskier took the Djinn jar. There are fewer details about the significance of their rivalry in the series, as the character did not appear in the previous seasons. However, before Laryea got the role of Marx, there was an old audition clip of Prince Radovid of Redania. It saw him flirting with Geralt’s trusted bard, where he mentioned Valdo Marx’s name. He asked Jaskier to go to Redania with him so that they would not have to listen to Marx’s voice.

So, if that scene from the audition would make it to the cut in the third season, we will finally get to know the gravity of the new arrival. But before that happens, with the recent picture of Nathan Laryea as Valdo Marx, fans are already overwhelmed about his arrival.
