Now, carrying the legacy forward, J.Lo is set to make waves again, this time stepping into the darkly glamorous world of psychological thrillers.

Lopez’s next big project dives deep into deception, envy, and ambition, promising a story as irresistible as her on-screen presence. And it all begins with The Last Mrs. Parrish. 

Earlier, Jennifer Lopez was the only confirmed cast member on the roster, taking up the lead role of Daphne Parrish. With a streak of Netflix hits under her belt  — Atlas, The Mother, and her introspective documentary Halftime, J.Lo has officially become Netflix’s own ‘Jenny from the Stream.’ 

Apart from her, joining the cast of the thriller are Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) as Jackson Parrish, Isabel May (1883) as Amber Patterson, Pierson Fodé (The Man from Toronto), Debi Mazar (Empire Records), Denis O’Hare (American Horror Story), Renata Friedman (The Patient), and Eduardo Ramos (21 Bridges) as Giorgio.

The glittering cast sets the stage for a tale where beauty masks betrayal, and one woman’s dream life becomes another’s deadly obsession.

The Last Mrs. Parrish is based on the novel of the same name by Liv Constantine. The psychological thriller is about Amber Patterson, who is tired of being ordinary and sets her sights on the lavish and extravagant life of Daphne Parrish, a wealthy socialite married to the handsome real estate mogul Jackson Parrish. Amber insinuates herself into Daphne’s world, volunteering at her foundation, weaving a web of friendship, and embarking on family trips, all the while secretly scheming to win over Jackson and unseat Daphne.

Just when it seems Amber’s plan is all in place, the narrative just flips. Secrets come out left and right, not just about Amber but also the Parrishes, which could put everything Amber did at stake. While the plot is gripping, when will the thriller hit Netflix?

As of now, Netflix is yet to announce the release date. With the filming beginning on September 9, 2025, and expected to end by November 21, 2025 (via Production Weekly report in July 2025), it can arrive on Netflix in late 2026 or in 2027.

With its blend of glossy perfection and psychological intrigue, The Last Mrs. Parrish promises to be more than just another domestic thriller. Backed by a stellar cast and J.Lo’s magnetic presence, whose rom-coms continue to ace on Netflix, the film is shaping up to be a binge-worthy mix of glamour and grit.
