The Iconic Comic Adaptation Starring Brie Larson Is Now Streaming on Netflix
Most of us recognize Brie Larson as one of the first women to headline female superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The American actress has starred in several movies playing the role of Marvel Captain. But many people may not know that she has worked at everything from indie films to network sitcoms before becoming the Oscar-winning superstar that she is today. In her teenage days, she was famous for her supporting roles in comedies, which later expanded into blockbuster films. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World introduced Brie Larson to the big ensembles which include her Marvel costar, Chris Evans. In this movie, she gave a memorable performance as a dark envious singer. Although the Emmy winner had a very small appearance on the screen, she left a mark with her acting. We see how remarkably she pulled this psycho musician who doesn’t want to see her ex-boyfriend happy. Her one liners and rapid-fire dialogues are the best part as she never leaves a chance to mock Pilgrim and his girlfriend.
Not to mention, her performance on the song ‘Black Sheep’ is one of the coolest scenes of the film. This drama might be lesser known but is one of the best comedies of all time praised by critics for its dark, striking humor.
