Since its debut on Netflix, its young cast, who were adorable young children a decade ago, shot to fame and became some of the most high-profile young actors in the world. With its finale approaching on horse heels, its leading star Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, has shared a heartfelt update on the show in the company of his castmate Gaten Matarazzo.

Noah Schnapp recently took to his Instagram account to share a picture with Gaten Matarazzo, where they were seen standing in the bathroom, brushing their teeth, as Schnapp snapped a selfie of them. In the caption, he wrote. "Missing S5 filming." Schnapp has been quite vocal in the recent past about missing the show after the finale. Sharing a deep emotional connection to Stranger Things, Schnapp has always updated the fans on his bond with the show.  

 In fact, last year in November, when he wrapped up his last filming on the set of Castle Byers, the makeshift fort made by Will and Jonathan Byers, he shared a big heartfelt video note with the fans about how it left him sentimental. Though this is not the only treat for the fans, soon, Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, and the other leading stars are scheduled to reunite on May 31 for Netflix Tudum 2025.

But his nostalgic update has left the fans in a sobfest, remembering the good old days when the show ran and praying for the finale to arrive soon.

Few days ago, Noah Schnapp has already dropped a big bomb on the fans about the finale’s nature, promising that people are going to be truly devastated. Though he also balanced the emotion with optimism, speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, and calling the final instalment a great season worth the heartache. Now this update with the sweet picture of the co-stars touched fans' hearts, who are pinning their hopes on the final season's arrival. In the comments, one wrote, “World is healing we're getting Stranger things 5 soon😭” while another begged to “Release it 😭😭 atleast trailer 😭” and “I can only wait this much for stranger things 😭🙌🏻”
