Filming for the project is expected to begin this month. The film will be directed by Lee Sang Yong of The Outlaws 2 and written by Cha Woo Jin, with production handled by Big Punch Pictures, B&C, and Nova Film, according to What's On Netflix.

The success of Extraction and Extraction 2 has hands down set the stage for this branching out. Chris Hemsworth, alternatively, is set to return for the third installment in the original saga. With hundreds of millions of streams per film, the franchise’s global popularity is certainly what made the What's on Netflix-reported Korean spin-off a natural next step, further growing the Extraction universe.
