In series, the figures proved even more remarkable, with 52.4% of leads or co-leads in 2023 and 13.4% of main cast. These unprecedented numbers collectively mark Netflix’s queer revolution hitting a record-breaking high.

Netflix's inclusion report also highlighted the growth of LGBTQ+ speaking characters in Netflix series, which increased from 2.5% in 2018 to 4.6% in 2023.
