What a surprise for the Kung Fu Panda fans. On National Panda Day, both DreamWorks and Netflix have announced their joint project, Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight. The animated series marks the return of our beloved panda, Po! Not only that but Jack Black is onboard to lend his voice to Po again. Well, the latest pictures teased with the news suggest that Po will embark on yet another fun adventure.

DreamWorks is one of the most popular franchises, it has a total of 3 feature films. The production also worked several short specials for an added treat to the fans of the movie. The first one is Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness. It aired on Nickelodeon for three seasons straight and wrapped up the story of the first two films. The second special, Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny, has only one season so far and it was picked up by Prime. The second special was picked from the events in the third film.

Nothing has been revealed so far except two teaser images. But we know our two antagonists. The photos reveal the two weasels that will force Po to hit the road to save the world from their evil plan. The two weasels are seen questioning Po, while Po seems confused. And the second image has the two locking heads with each other.

The two weasels are out on a mission to unearth some artifacts that have the potential to bring catastrophe. However, Po will have an English knight assist him in his mission to outsmart the two villains. What does he look like? We don’t know yet. DreamWorks and the streamer are still keeping his identity a secret. In Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, Po joins hands with a no-nonsense English knight to save the world on a quest to find powerful weapons. Peter Hastings and Shaunt Nigoghossian will executive produce the show.
