Netflix is set to return one of its most-watched comedy-dramas, a familiar clan, knotted narratives, and raw emotions, anew, charged with heartbreak, secrets, and suspense. Owing to the immense success of the third installment, this beloved comedy-drama is bound to come back for a fourth season, specifically to untangle the complexities left by the previous season's cliffhanger ending. 

Replete with dramatic family moments, witty humor, and a heartwarming mother-daughter bond, Season 4 of this Netflix drama has already entered production.

A mere three months since its most recent installment, the fourth season of Ginny & Georgia has already entered production and will be filmed around this fall. Felix Mallard confirmed the update in an Instagram story, saying, “First day back on set today. They’re pretty strict about BTS and spoilers.” The 4th installment will b in production for around 5 months in Toronto with the codename, 

The coming-of-age drama about a mother-daughter duo navigating their new life in a small Massachusetts suburb, with secrets trailing them, proved to be a major hit on Netflix. Ginny & Georgia gained attention in 2021 for trolling Gilmore Girls and faced controversy over certain notorious scenes, like Oppression Olympics and a Taylor Swift joke. Despite this, it became a Netflix hit, with a successful season 3 that culminated in a nail-biting cliffhanger, raising anticipation for the next season.

What to expect from Ginny & Georgia season 4

Ginny & Georgia Season 3 ended with some of the biggest revelations and unpacked emotional moments. For instance, Georgia (played by Brianne Howey) is actually pregnant, and whose baby it is, estranged husband Paul Randolph or former boyfriend Joe, remains one of the season's biggest questions. In Season 4, audiences should be prepared for deeper emotional reckoning for every member of the Miller family, deeper entanglements with secrets from Georgia, and higher stakes at Wellsbury.

The show's creator, Sarah Lampert, revealed the official theme for Season 4 at Netflix’s TUDUM, which is “Cycles and Origins," wherein Georgia's problematic history will come back into view, focusing on her estranged mother, stepfather, and her missing father. Meanwhile, Ginny would be breaking against cycles of codependency and redefining what loyalty and strength are in her relationships. According to TV Insider, Lampert said that Season 4 will be "tonally a little bit lighter, a little more hopeful." With production having begun in September 2025, it could arrive in 2026.
