Black Rabbit, the much-anticipated Netflix limited series starring Jason Bateman, will arrive on the platform sooner rather than later. The production, consisting of eight episodes and set in the bustling city of New York, will drop on September 18. And Netflix has already shared the intriguing first look of the upcoming drama. The photos featuring Bateman and Jude Law gave off intense thriller-drama vibes, setting it up for a positive landing among genre enthusiasts.

Bateman not only acts but also directs the first two episodes of the show. His Ozark co-star Laura Linney fulfills the same duty for the next two episodes. Ben Semanoff and Justin Kurzel direct the remaining four parts of the series. While discussing Black Rabbit’s elaborate roster of directors, it is important to note that this is not Bateman’s first time sharing creative credits with others, especially not with Linney.

As the actress referred to herself as an immature helmer, the actor sweetly stepped in to defend her.

Taking hold of the discourse, Bateman dubbed Linney’s turn as a director on the 11th episode of Ozark as “incredible.” While Linney did not agree with him unequivocally, she did express gratitude to Bateman for placing his trust in her. Returning the favor, she also sang praises for the Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner, calling his direction amazing. For those interested, Ozark is available for streaming on Netflix.
