The fans of this classic 1990 movie will be disappointed to learn that Netflix is not rebooting it. People are misled because of a false post on Facebook by an account named Rumbledore. The post shared the invalid news that a reboot of the Tremors franchise in the form of an 8-episode series will be coming to Netflix in August 2025, with Kevin Bacon. But there has been no word about it either from Netflix or the actor.

Though the original Tremor was a gem in the genre of monster movies. Starring Kevin Bacon, it also had Fred Ward, Finn Carter, Michael Gross, and Reba McEntire. The movie followed the natives of a small isolated town who defend themselves against strange underground creatures that are killing them one by one. A fun premise for an entertaining watch, but unfortunately, the movie flopped at the time. Though in the current time it is available to watch on Paramount Plus, AMC Plus, or Apple TV Channel.

According to a recent blog post, Stampede Entertainment partners Ron Underwood, Brent Maddock, and S.S. Wilson want this new sequel to be set in the desert town of Perfection, Nevada, and give the same old movie vibes. For this revival original star Kevin Bacon has hopes to be associated once again.
