All about WSQK Stranger Things special and will it be accessible to USA viewers
WSQK is a special radio experience created for UK Stranger Things viewers, and they recently sent an invite to those in the region to participate in a code-breaking challenge, which will be signaled on December 3, to unlock tickets to a secret event. The engagement, neither the challenge nor the event that it will unlock, will be accessible to US audiences for obvious reasons of it being designed for the UK alone.
The latest invite by WSQK, meanwhile, sent a reprieve to UK viewers who may fail to crack the code to get early access to the event still hidden. The radio station mentioned that people who miss out on the challenge will be able to buy tickets starting December 4.
Beyond the recently revealed challenge, WSQK streams 24/7 80s hits, hosted by DJs Vance Goodman and Mindy Flare. The station also features segments like Rewind at 9: Turning Hawkins Upside Down, Talk To Tammy, and Dial-A-Dedication, alongside throwback jingles and in-universe ads, delivering an authentic retro radio experience in the UK.
Launched on November 24 on Global Player and running until January 1, WSQK offers UK audiences a full Stranger Things immersion, from music to interactive mysteries, keeping the Upside Down close at hand as season 5 unfolds. US viewers, meanwhile, should not be very bummed about not living this experience and start preparing for the big-screen party of the sci-fi title.
Amid exploration of a Stranger Things spin-off, Netflix is going all out for the IP’s finale with advance tickets for its limited theatrical run now on sale.
