Every Major Netflix Project Going Into Production in 2025

In the wide array of streaming platforms, despite having the upper hand owing to its head in the game, Netflix has found itself in a cat-and-mouse race for the top position. While it tried to secure some big guns, in the form of Anyone But You and more award winners, with Deadpool & Wolverine taking home the cake, and its gaming factories shutting down, Netflix has had a tough year. A history that it does not plan to repeat going into 2025, hence the onslaught of eye-catching projects that are currently knee-deep in production.

2025 will be a year in which production ramps up a big time, with Netflix trying to cook something up for everyone. From tried and tested formulas such as Bridgerton to newer titles, the streamer is locking in to have all eyes locked on itself in 2025.

Bridgerton (Season 4)

Filming for Bridgerton season 4 kicked off in September 2024, bringing new drama and romance to the screen. The season's production is said to continue until April 2025. This season will focus on Benedict Bridgerton's search for love, with Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha. Along with the returning favorites, fresh faces like Katie Leung and Michelle Mao join the cast, adding to the excitement of the new season's release.

Avatar: The Last Airbender (Season 2)

The production of Avatar: The Last Airbender's season 2 is in full swing.  Filming, which started in October 2024, is expected to run until March 2025. Fans can expect new characters, including Toph Beifong, and iconic locations such as Ba Sing Se. The production team seems to be moving towards more conventional real-life sets with less virtual technology, for a much more immersive experience for viewers. 

I Will Find You (Limited Series)

An exciting new Netflix thriller: I Will Find You, the first U.S. adaptation of Harlan Coben's novels has been picked up by Netflix as it heads into production in 2025. Filming is set to begin in April, bringing a gripping story about a father wrongly imprisoned for his son's murder. This limited series promises all the twists, suspense, and cliffhangers that Coben's fans love.

The Diplomat (Season 3)

Production for The Diplomat season 3 is moving full steam ahead, with filming already wrapped in London. The next leg of production has shifted to New York and should wrap by the end of January 2025. Under the creative vision of showrunner Debora Cahn and starring Keri Russell, the series continues the political drama, with Rufus Sewell and Allison Janney returning to the set.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder (Season 2)

Season 2 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is officially gearing up for production in 2025. Filming is set to begin in spring 2025, with the talented Emma Myers returning as Pip Fitz-Amobi and Zain Iqbal as Ravi Singh. This show being a highly popular BBC, Netflix, and ZDFneo co-production will dig deeper into the dark secrets that surround the town of Fairview following the intense twists of the first season.

Nobody Wants This (Season 2)

Following its success in 2024, Nobody Wants This is all set for a great season two, with filming set to kick off in early 2025. Though some reports have suggested that the filming may start in February, actor Adam Brody remains hopeful about the smooth flow of production. A major change behind the scenes is the new showrunners, Jenny Connor and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who will guide the series through its next chapter.

Supacell (Season 2)

Early in 2025, Supacell, the new British superhero hit on Netflix, is looking to begin filming its second season. Virgin River (Season 7)

The filming process is expected to last an extra few months, with its potential release in 2025 or early 2026. 

Emily in Paris (Season 5)

It looks like fans of Emily in Paris will have to wait a little longer for Season 5 as the production was pushed back by strikes. Despite the delay production is set to be on track to start in May 2025. The key locations such as Paris and Rome will continue to be the center stage throughout the next chapter of Emily's journey. Even with the hopes for an early shoot, the delay seems to have put the show back in line for a late-2025 or early 2026 release date.

BEEF (Season 2)

BEEF is back for season two, and this one is going to be thrilling. The production is set to start in January 2025 and shoot in Los Angeles and South Korea. This season will take the show into an entirely new story while embracing its anthology format. Fans will see new characters as Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, and Charles Melton join the cast. Indeed, the new season promises to keep building on the very tense mix of humor and suspense that worked for season 1.

Enola Holmes 3

This popular franchise is set to start production in early 2025. The third installment of the popular Netflix series is officially moving forward with Millie Bobby Brown back as the brilliant and cheeky detective, Enola, with Henry Cavill and the rest of the cast, including Helena Bonham Carter and Adeel Akhtar are also returning to film this fan favorite production.

Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen

Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, produced by the Duffer brothers, who were behind Stranger Things, will start filming in Mississauga, Ontario, on January 13, 2025, and is set to wrap in April, leaving fans eagerly waiting for its dark twists. Promising an eerie atmosphere set against the doomed wedding backdrop creator Haley Z. Boston will be at the head with a talented cast including Camila Morrone and Adam DiMarco. 

Office Romance

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are reportedly soon to star in an upcoming romantic comedy, Office Romance which will shoot from mid-March through May 2024 in New Jersey. Directed by Ol Parker, known for his famous Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again stars Goldstein, who is famous for his role in Ted Lasso this movie is shaping up to be quite the hit.

Monster: Ed Gein

Filming for Monster: Ed Gein, the third season of Netflix's hit anthology series, began in late October 2024 and is set to continue in 2025. This season, after Dahmer and The Menendez Story, will cover the gruesome story of an infamous serial killer Ed Gein. Filming is happening in two major cities: Los Angeles and Chicago. The cast, led by Charlie Hunnam as Gein, also includes Laurie Metcalf, Tom Hollander, and Olivia Williams will act out the chilling story of Gein's horrifying crimes in the 1950s.

Run Away

The production of Run Away, based on Harlan Coben’s gripping novel is to start filming in Manchester in early 2025, by Quay Street Productions, with an expected release later in that year itself. This announcement excited fans of Coben's previous hits, like Fool Me Once who await another intense, suspenseful ride.

Black Doves (Season 2)

Fans of the gritty action series Black Doves by Kiera Knightley can rejoice as this thrilling spy drama is returning for a second season! They will begin production in early 2025, filming in the heart of London, following its early renewal. 

The Gentlemen (Season 2)

The new season of The Gentlemen is getting ready to shake things up. Guy Ritchie's crime comedy action-drama series will kick into its Season 2 in April 2025, promising more excitement. As expected, this season is likely to add more to Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass's empire of crimes. Rumors have it that Italy could play a major role in the next chapter, offering a fresh backdrop to the series. 

The Witcher (Season 5)

The final season of this fantasy series on Netflix is set to begin production in March 2024. The Witcher franchise will continue with Liam Hemsworth as Geralt after a successful run with Henry Cavill in the previous seasons. Reports say production will shoot the final two seasons back-to-back.

The Vince Staples Show (Season 2)

After a shocking renewal earlier this year, The Vince Staples Show is preparing for its much-anticipated second season. Producers expect to start production in Vancouver on January 25, 2025, and finish in March. With returning stars Andrea Ellsworth and Vanessa Bell Calloway, the season is looking up to more surprising cameos.
