Meghan Markle is touching millions of hearts with her Spotify podcast Archetypes which aims at calling out the labels and troops that restrict and shame women. Though there has been some criticism around the podcast, it made headlines a few days back by getting nominated for the People’s Choice Award in the category, Best Pop Podcast 2022. 

In the eight episodes of the podcast so far, Meghan Markle has spoken to the likes of Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, Deepika Padukone, Constance Wu, Paris Hilton, Iliza Shlesinger, Margaret Cho, Jenny Slate, Issa Rae, Ziwe, Mindy Kaling, Lisa Ling, Pamela Adlon, Sam Jay, and Sophie Gregoire Trudeau. The rumors now suggest that the Duchess is hoping to invite an unexpected guest, Kate Middleton, to the show. Is there any truth to the news?

Meghan Markle has a strained relationship with her sister-in-law

Considering the dynamics between Markle and Middleton, it is hard to digest that they will be appearing on the podcast together. However, the royal expert Neil Sean confirmed the news stating that the Duchess of Sussex offered the Princess of Wales to make an appearance in Archetypes “put out a request to the Princess of Wales”. She made the proposition during the Sussexes‘ visit to the House of Windsor following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Markle believes that her relationship with her sister-in-law has progressed in the past few months and they can make a good episode by speaking about the experience of being the Duchess. Moreover, to make the request look appealing, the former American actress has conveyed to Middleton that she can have an entire episode to herself without any other guest. 

“In Meghan’s eyes, this is because she based it along the idea of two Duchesses, as they then were at that point, and of course talking about how difficult it is to run a family, work-life [and] work balance,” Sean said on his YouTube channel.

Meghan Markle is yet to hear a response from Kate Middleton. However, if things work out, the two can shoot for the episode later in the month, as the Prince and Princess of Wales will be making a trip to the United States.
