In a world full of television and mobile screens, one hardly has the time to see themselves in the mirror. However, as huge of a sensation as Stranger Things is, it is here to make fans take a break from their screens.
While season five of the show is in a chokehold owing to the SAG-AFTRA strikes, the makers have planned other things in the tow.

Stranger Things Season 4 concluded in a big way in terms of setting fan expectations for the upcoming last installment. The season set the stage for Vecna to fight off against Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven and seal the fates of the Upside Down ensemble. However, how much is known about the origins of 001? To answer the question, a live stage play set before the events of the main show is set to grace soon. Stranger Things: The First Shadow has just been teased by the official Stranger Things handle and is set to land soon.
The play set in 1959 takes place more than twenty years before the events of the show. Written by Kate Trefry, and Jack Thorne in collaboration with the Duffer Brothers, original producer and Deadpool 3 director, Shawn Levy’s production oversaw the production. Along with Hopper, Joyce, and Bob from the main show, it will ponder the origins of Henry Creel aka Vecna. Additionally, the official synopsis also mentioned Hawkins as “a regular town with regular worries.” The play is scheduled to be enacted at London’s Phoenix Theatre.
Meanwhile, the delays surrounding the original show have sent fans into a tizzy. Many are left to wonder if the show will still do justice to the planned storyline.

While the play shall play its part, fans are desperately anxious to hear news about the show’s season five. While Shawn Levy did tease a “cinematic storytelling” on the cards, it is not exactly what fans are waiting for. Rather, the resumption of production is of paramount concern. The next season was originally planned to have started and wrapped up filming by early to mid-2024. However, it is nearly October and filming is yet to begin.
The Duffer brothers had already announced that a five-season script was ready by season four. However, anxiety is of the script undergoing the need to be changed to accommodate last-minute delays. As such, fans may be deprived of the originally planned vision for the show and end up getting a rushed and non-satisfactory conclusion. Regardless, all fans can do is sit back and stay tuned.
