Ali Wong-led Beef may be greenlit for another season. While the actress herself is enough to pull an audience, the plot, direction, and other members garnered attention within a week of its release. Now Netflix has really gone into experimenting with different show concepts, whether it is creating an interactive show, anime, international or limited series.
Beef was also supposed to be a limited series, which means the story was to be wrapped in a few episodes. However, Netflix may make it an exceptional case if it continues to bring in good numbers for viewership. Here is how the tables could turn owing to their performance.

Limited series offer viewer satisfaction in the sense that one can finish watching an entire story in a few episodes. One does not have to wait for the next season and it offers more variety in lesser time. But its latest comedy-drama could prove to be an exception. Show creator Lee Sung Jin revealed to Rolling Stones during an interview how he has a rough mapped-out idea for the next three seasons in case it’s greenlit. “I wanted it to have a conclusive feel just in case,” he said.
Having created Undone and Dave previously, the writer was quick to create a central idea if the show gets continued. So far, if Netflix announced a show being a limited one, it does not tend to give out season 2. But at the end of the day; it is public demand that can make anything happen. Beef has already received rave reviews from both fans and critics, so it could into an exception.

On 6th April 2023, Beef landed on Netflix. The show casts Steven Yeun, David Choe, and Young Mazino along with Ali Wong. The plotline revolves around two strangers who cross paths, literally, during a road rage. One is a struggling contractor, and the other is a successful entrepreneur. Thereon the series takes them on an adventure as rage and luck keep dragging them into each other’s life. The limited series has released 10 episodes of 30-39 minutes each so far.
