Ted Danson is strapping in for another adventure as A Man on the Inside. The comedy series was greenlit for season 2 in December and recently, a slew of fresh names have joined the cast of A Man on the Inside. According to Tudum, season 2 stars Gary Cole as Brad Vinick, a successful executive, Michaela Conlin as Andrea Yi, Economics teacher at Wheeler College, Max Greenfield as Jack Beringer, President of Wheeler College, and Sam Huntington as Max Griffin, a Journalism professor at Wheeler College.

Constance Marie as Vanessa, a former con artist, Jason Mantzoukas as Apollo Lambrakis, a contractor, David Strathairn as Dr. Cole, HOD of the English Department at Wheeler College, Jill Talley as Holly Bodgemark, the provost of Wheeler College, Lisa Gilroy as Kelseigh Rose, photographer and wife of Brad, Madison Hu as Claire, Wheeler College Junior, and Linda Park as Elizabeth Muki, the director of Fine Arts Department at Wheeler College round out the cast. Danson’s real-life wife, Mary Steenburgen, will portray Mona Margadoff.

Starring sitcom veteran Ted Danson, season 1 of A Man on the Inside follows Charles Nieuwendyk, a retired San Francisco professor who goes undercover at a senior living community to crack a mystery involving stolen jewelry and track down the missing jewels. The series is based on the acclaimed 2020 documentary The Mole Agent, which earned an Oscar nod for Best Documentary Feature.

Though details are scarce about the storyline of season 2, Danson, who reprises his role as Charles, a retiree, is expected to go undercover on campus. With a new crop of coeds and colleagues, Charles is buckling up for some A-grade chaos. “We are thrilled to make another season of A Man on the Inside, starring young up-and-comer Ted Danson,” creator Michael Schur said in a statement.
