Netflix has an amazing lineup all ready for the year 2022. But there is an even more extensive list of movies that are in the pipeline for the years to come. Among the films in production is a new horror flick by Netflix, Demon House. The film, apart from having a great story and an equally amazing cast, also is the one to look out for the feud it will be put to an end.

The movie is based on a highly popular case in Gary, Indiana, around 2011. The film follows Latoya Ammons and her three children, who went under exorcisms on several occasions.

But the reason the movie is making so much buzz even before the release is as it will reunite Oscar-winning Precious star, Mo’Nique, by that very film’s director Lee Daniels.

This film will mark the end of a 13 year-long feud between Mo’Nique and Lee Daniels. Mo’Nique replaces Octavia Spencer to star in the movie. Octavia had to back out from the film due to previous agreements with Apple TV+ show Truth Be Told.

The reason for their disagreement was that Mo’Nique said that she was blackballed by Daniels, Oprah Winfrey, and Tyler Perry. It was so because she refused to promote the picture during awards season. She said it wasn’t in her contract, and Mo’Nique didn’t want to be away from her family.

They denied blackballing her, but insiders claim the actress and the director went 13 years without speaking because of their differences.

Mo’Nique also filed a complaint in 2019 against Netflix, accusing the company of racial and gender discrimination for underpaying her for a stand-up special after offering other celebrities tens of millions of dollars.

This includes comedians like Oscar host Amy Schumer. Amy earned 26 times the $500,000 Mo’Nique was paid for an hour-long comedy special, according to the lawsuit.
