Agnes DeMille, the invisible yet dangerously obsessive new student in Wednesday season 2, is portrayed by 16-year-old British actress Evie Templeton. The young star is known for blending creepy charm with emotional depth, and her past credits vouch for that. Templeton first impressed audiences as Grace Holland in the 2023 folk horror film Lord of Misrule. She then went on to play Freida in BBC’s Life After Life (2022) and Young Lisa in Apple TV’s Criminal Record (2024). Her ability to embody haunting yet layered characters seemingly made her a perfect fit for the Nevermore squad.

Evie Templeton also boasts experience in lending her voice to a role, as she did in the 2024 remake of Silent Hill 2. As for Wednesday, in preparing for Agnes, she studied the fan favorite Netflix show closely, observing Nevermore’s realm, the titular character’s mannerisms, and her intense aura to support her turn. Speaking to the streaming giant about the same, Templeton revealed she landed her part through a standout Zoom audition. Despite a few technical glitches at the time, her chemistry with Jenna Ortega was visibly evident, prompting the casting directors to offer her the opportunity. Meanwhile, another addition to the cast of Wednesday season 2 is also generating buzz. She, for the record, is a global icon.
