There has been recent online chatter affirming that Ye will be playing in São Paulo on November 29, 2025, as a headliner of a new music festival called the Urban Movement Festival. It will run for two days, with another famous rap or R&B co-headliner under negotiation with the promoters. As far as the venue is concerned, none other than the Interlagos Circuit, the iconic Formula 1 track in the city, reportedly seems fit to host Ye's grand return to Brazil. The same venue is also home to Lollapalooza Brazil and The Town Festival. The rapper has not graced Brazil with a performance since 2013, following his first performance in the country in 2011.

Ye's participation in the festival will reportedly add to the usual pull of 80,000 and 100,000 people per day, according to producers Guilherme Cavalcante and Jean Fabrício Ramos, also known as Fabulouz Fabz, as confirmed to Folha newspaper. These organizers have previously ushered artists like Snoop Dogg, Tyga, and Wiz Khalifa to Brazil. With pre-sale of the music festival's tickets already exceeding 50,000, Ye, alongside the other rumored headliner, big names like Solange Knowles, is expected to draw in a record number of crowds, hungry for Ye's live shows.

As Ye makes his comeback to live music, despite cancellation news headlines, here is what is really going on with his performances and latest projects.

Ye's stage return has been oddly tempestuous

Ye returned to the stage in a sold-out Pudong Football Stadium in Shanghai concert on July 11, 2025, marking his first performance in China since 2008. The concert attracted over 72,000 spectators; however, despite the turnout, exasperation grew as fans informed that Ye was over 40 minutes late, stormed off early, and technical glitches tainted the experience. According to the New York Post, chants of "refund" echoed in the stadium, prompting refund demands and outrage, highlighting the unevenness of his return.

However, all was not ruined as Ye's spectacular show at Incheon Munhak Stadium later in the same month, for which he had an easy sale of a whopping 50,000 tickets, was a massive success. Ye, whose music knows no geographical boundaries, conquered the ears of Asian listeners, regardless of cancellations or controversies. Joining him was his eldest daughter, North West, for a special song. With his twelfth studio album, 'Bully', and the grand new rumored music festival to be headlined by him, Ye continues to prove his perennial dominance in the rap game, reaffirming his goat status.
