When 2024 concluded without the whereabouts of Kanye West aka Ye’s missing ‘Vultures’ volume after months of wait, fans found compensation in the anticipation of his ‘Bully’ album. As the Atlanta native returned to the social radar with a restock of fresh merchandise on his Yeezy website, fans thought of it as a cue to a year-ending surprise drop. Although ‘Bully’ did not make its way to the fans, a fresh round of contention did in association with the album way before its release.

While the rapper may be busy making his wife’s birthday one for the books, his chapter on ‘Bully’ is encountering some major forks in the road.

Amidst the heightening frenzy for the forthcoming, French singer Claire Pommet has slammed Ye for unauthorized use of her sample for ‘Bully.’ A snippet from the rapper’s highly anticipated project dropped last week, leaving fans craving more. However, just days later, Pomme took to her social media to clarify that she never agreed to her track, ‘soleil soleil,’ for a sample on Ye’s record. As per Pomme, she remains unaware of the source of the audio or video content.

“But I have never given my consent for the use of this sample,” Pomme wrote before reasoning with her non-clearance. The French artist was allegedly a fan of Mr. West previously. However, she is deeply opposed to his “political positions.” Though tempted by the opportunity, her unwavering commitment to her principles may have led her to take the stand with a bold leap in the road less traveled. While Ye is back on the social radar, he has yet to address Claire Pomme’s post on Instagram.

The teaser’s impact was undeniable, with fans rooting for it despite the past disappointments. Plus, as per a leaked conversation, the person who posted the snippet revealed that more tracks were played, and all of them were a testimony to Ye’s solid solo comeback. However, following Pomme’s lamentation, it remains to be seen if ‘Bully’ can turn the narrative around because otherwise the fans’ worst fears may become a reality.
