Back in early 2024, New York police arrested 33-year-old David Crowe near Taylor Swift’s Manhattan following reports of a “disturbed male acting erratically,” as reported by BBC. Crowe, from Seattle, was charged with two counts each of stalking. The arrest came just days after an attempted break-in at the singer’s home — while Swift was away supporting Travis Kelce during his NFL playoff game against the Buffalo Bills.

Though police were yet to confirm any link between Crowe and the earlier break-in attempt, the incident adds to Swift’s long history of being targeted by stalkers. In previous years, one man drove into her building in a drunken state, while another, Roger Alvarado, was caught sleeping in her bed and sentenced to six months in jail.
