Over 85,890 Google searches have been made for her jersey since the season kicked off this September. Currently, Swift’s NFL jersey is the eighth most popular, making its demand higher than 1,689 active NFL players.

The study claims a 176% uptick in NFL-related searches centering on the pop star since the commencement of this season, including used keywords like “Taylor Swift Chiefs” and “Taylor Swift NFL” with an average of 109,320 searches every month. FlashPick’s Head of Operations, Callum Broxton reasoned the statistics with the considerable “media attention” that has followed since Swift began attending Kansas City Chiefs’ matches last year.

While her overtaking such a staggering amount of players on their own turf speaks volumes about the Taylor Swift effect Travis Kelce cannot stop raving about, the question that looms at large is whether she managed to outpace the Chiefs’ tight end as well.

According to Google search data highlighted by Flash Picks via KCTV News, Taylor Swift’s new-found NFL limelight has been a nightmare for a number of players but not her beau, Travis Kelce. In fact, the study highlights Kelce as the more popular figure than Swift on the NFL radar. Kelce has reportedly rounded out in 150,870 Google searches this season, becoming the third-highest player in the top 10 charts.

The only players with jerseys more popular than the Chiefs’ tight end are Jordan Love and CeeDee Lamb. The players who rank higher than Swift further include Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, Caleb Williams, and Davante Adams. However, the fact that Swift is leaving the pros in the dust in a game she is not an expert at says volumes about her strength. Hence, those who thought the music world should be watching its back, this is a cue for the sports sphere to hold onto to its slipping spotlight.
