Recently, a report on sportnewss.livextop.com has claimed that Miley Cyrus has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, with only 60 days left for her to live with chemotherapy. Facebook user Digital Kingz shared an image linking to the said article and sharing the details with an image of Cyrus holding a cardboard that said, "I'm battling cancer- Pray to God for me." However, in reality, all of this is untrue, as she is not diagnosed with cancer.

Miley Cyrus does not have cancer, as the article said (via Digital Kingz' Facebook post), but she has navigated a handful of medical challenges with the resilience of a seasoned performer. Her long-standing Reinke’s edema, a benign swelling of the vocal cords, once required surgery and briefly interrupted her artistry. She has also dealt with supraventricular tachycardia and an ovarian cyst rupture during a New Year’s Eve special. None of these ailments points toward cancer, and the singer remains healthy and active.

Any thoughtful observer would puzzle over how a routine headline somehow detonated into a cancer scare worthy of a soap opera plot twist. But Cyrus has struggled health-wise, even looking back at one of her health issues recently.

Miley Cyrus talks about her health scare

During an appearance on The Zane Lowe Show, Miley Cyrus shared she suffered an ovarian cyst rupture during a New Year's Eve special to ring in 2023. The event was "extremely excruciating" for her, and yet, she finished her performance. She also talked about her vocal cord issues, that is, Reinke’s edema, and how it has added a texture to her voice, but it seems like she is "running a marathon with ankle weights on."

Admirers were already dissecting every detail of her life, especially whispers about a new Hannah Montana–linked project, which only intensified after the cancer scare. The final rumor marched around proudly, utterly divorced from truth or common sense.
