Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid may be more than ready for a Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding, teasing that he has plenty of stories about his tight end should the much-awaited day manifest. Speaking on Kansas City sports radio 96.5 The Fan with Fescoe and Dusty, Reid joked that “a few” tales could not be shared publicly before praising Kelce’s off-field demeanor and generosity, making for “great” wedding day nods. The coach also revealed that he actually knew Kelce’s lady before him through her parents, with whom his family connected in Pennsylvania.

Andy Reid shared that Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, who recently underwent heart surgery, making Travis Kelce take on the caregiver role for his girlfriend, is a huge football fan, which helped them hit it off long before the Grammy winner began dating the athlete in 2023. Calling her “arguably the most famous woman in the world” since Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, Reid commended Swift for handling the fame with grace. Moreover, Reid also touched on Swift upsetting some people by appearing at NFL games as Kelce’s supporter.

Andy Reid, quite contradictorily, acknowledged Taylor Swift’s positive impact on the sport, especially among women and girls. It should be noted that the 'Lover' hitmaker’s visibility has encouraged more female interest in football, from watching NFL games to participating in flag soccer at the collegiate and Olympic level. While not solely crediting Swift for the shift, Reid praised her for playing a big part in the movement. Clearly, football is thriving with both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s contributions to it.
