Recently, an important cast member from the Thunderbolts* movie, renamed as The New Avengers, gave fans an insight about a special gift Taylor Swift gave to her.

It has been a week since Thunderbolts* hit the theatres and became a summer blockbuster, but its big star cast is still working hard at promoting the movie. The cast recently played the game of Cast Wars for Buzzfeed Celeb, where they were asked personal questions to understand who knows the most about each other. In the quiz, Geraldine Viswanathan revealed that Taylor Swift gifted her a small black bag after the actress complimented the singer for it. “She said it looked better on me, so she gave it to me”, Viswanathan said, gushing over Swift’s precious gift. The video was also shared by Taylor Swift Updates on X.

Geraldine Viswanathan previously gave a detailed account of this incident on Seth Meyers' show some months ago. There, she informed that on meeting Taylor Swift for the first time, when she complimented the singer of her bag, Swift gave the immediate response of "Thanks, do you want it?" Leaving Geraldine in disbelief, Swift then took out her stuff from her bag into her pockets and said, "I got this for free, like, you can take it.' So, I took her bag!" During this Buzzfeed interview, the whole cast was presented with the question of guessing which famous celebrity was that, which they failed to do. But listening to Swift’s name left all of them in awe.

While this might have been a distant connection of Swift with the MCU, a recent rumor of their potential collaboration had the fans’ hearts skip a beat.

Back in March, there was a Taylor Swift tweet from the Marvel Updates account on X that said, Marvel Studios is interested in Taylor Swift for a major role in the MCU. This tweet added fuel to the fire after Hollywood insider reporter Daniel Richtman claimed that she had met with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, which left the fans in disblief.

Though Taylor Swift has long been linked with Marvel, especially in 2019 when she previously released the track 'Endgame' from 'Reputation', which many went on to believe has something to do with Avengers: Endgame. A theory she addressed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. While her acting debut with Marvel is a question with an unknown answer, her gift to the Thunderbolts* star was a considerate gesture.
