Zack Snyder, visionary of epic spectacles, has seemingly teamed with Tig Notaro, whose razor-sharp wit cuts deep with her dialogue on screen, for prospects of a similar definition.

Whether other developments have been underway or not, Notaro had taken Snyder pleasantly aback with her poster idea that advertised the title Deviants, with a tagline worth the double-take, she claimed on the On With Kara Swisher podcast.

"Hot Lesbian Action", was what Tig Notaro claimed had sold Zack Snyder immediately. While Hollywood timelines suggest years before even production could go under, as no studio or distributor is attached yet, spectators have naturally started clamoring for more information amid Snyder's apparently Snyder-packed slate.​

While Tig Notaro seems to be co-writing alongside Zack Snyder, no one has been confirmed to act in Deviants in these barely-scripted stages. Their bond, however, has stemmed from her digitally inserted role as Marianne Peters in Snyder's 2021 Netflix hit Army of the Dead, replacing Chris D'Elia post-scandal.

No other cast announcements exist for this film, leaving room for Snyder's flair in assembling ensembles blending action stars and fresh faces. And apparently, Notaro's viral 'hot' appeal from that zombie flick is what sparked the idea.​

This will be contrasting Snyder's blockbusters like 300 with Notaro's deadpan humor from Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. Early buzz positions it as a provocative genre mashup, and for now, details like budget or director confirmation stay hazy.​
