Young Clark Kent and Baby Tommy Maximoff: Who Is the Kid Connecting 'Superman' and MCU?

In the ever-evolving world of cinema, it is not often that one child actor quietly links two of the biggest superhero universes, but that is exactly what appears to have happened recently without much fanfare. A young face once seen in the heart of Marvel’s magical chaos recently found himself soaring into DC’s most iconic origin story, Superman. While fans continue to debate timelines and crossovers, this unexpected weave between the two worlds is nothing less than a welcome revelation.

Which young star holds credits in both the Marvel and DC universes before even hitting his teens? The rising actor is quietly building a superhero résumé most adults would envy.

A week-old Instagram post shared by a verified account, informing it was “managed by mom,” resurfaced on July 20, catching Marvel and DC fans off guard with news that a child actor had roles in both superhero universes. According to the Instagram handle belonging to a set of twin boys, one of the kids has now played both baby Tommy Maximoff in Marvel’s WandaVision and young Clark Kent in James Gunn’s Superman. The name of the promising talent is Yosef Friedman. However, the child’s name is not listed among Superman's cast members on IMDb, as it instead credits Oliver Diego Silva as young Clark Kent.

The post supposedly shared by Yosef Friedman’s mom on the aforementioned social media account is a collage of two snaps — the left one showing the child actor's role as Tommy Maximoff, and the right one showing him perched on David Corenswet’s chair on the Superman set. Although there is no official credit for Friedman in Superman, a montage towards the end of Superman 2025 shows the Metropolis hero at multiple stages of his life, making it a very viable possibility for Friedman to be one of the versions. Also, his non-superhero Tinseltown credits are no less impressive.

Beyond tying super hero universes, this young actor’s broader screen credits prove he is no one trick sidekick.

More than Marvel and DC — Yosef Friedman is built for versatility

According to resumes.actorsaccess.com, Yosef Friedman is only six years old. Represented by Eris Talent Agency, per the website, the actor has appeared not only in DC and Marvel as mentioned earlier but also in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, as well as other renowned projects including Till, IMordecai, Deadly Due Date, You Can't Take My Daughter, The Underground Railroad, Found, and more.

Additionally, Yosef Friedman is also a known commercial face, having promoted brands like Hoover Vacuum, Kidvana, and more. He even has a music video credit to his name. Friedman is rightly proving how age becomes just a number when passion does more than merely flicker in one’s heart. With his illustrious and expansive résumé — including the now much-talked-about superhero universe crossover —  he is only expected to grow more, and who knows, with such an early start, this performer could follow a path similar to other breakout child actors.
