South Park's record for scathing satire and unapologetic humor has established it as one of the legendary animated sitcoms viewers long for each season. Celebrities, tycoons, and world leaders may rise and fall, but the show's biting comedy shall tackle them all with its brazen social criticism to lampoon politics, celebrities, and cultural norms. Whether it is the viral Fishsticks episode that infuriated Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, or their latest blistering jab at Donald Trump, South Park remains funny and scarily pertinent.

Amidst a fake apology towards the President from the creators of the show, all eyes are in search of what chaos actually went down for the White House to lose their minds.

Kicking off its 27th season, the iconic sitcom took matters into its own hands to offer a socio-political commentary befitting wokeness and Donald Trump's administration in its most brutal episode to date. On July 23, 2025, Comedy Central debuted the new episode, Sermon on the Mount, where Trump is animated into graphic scenes where he goes to bed with Satan, runs through the desert naked, and wages war. For viewers who have missed the premiere on cable, the first episode of South Park Season 27 is available to stream for free on Paramount+.

Paramount Plus offers a seven-day free trial upon signing up on its website, where all the previous seasons of the satirical sitcom are available for streaming. Meanwhile, South Park's viral Donald Trump PSA is also available on YouTube with an age restriction. In the US, it can also be viewed on the website created by the show's creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, called HeTrumpedUs.com. Though per Deadline, the White House, in response to the episode, called the show irrelevant and unfunny, clips of its AI-generated fake PSA ridiculing Trump have gone viral online.

Recalling South Park's unhinged satire legacy

Controversies fear South Park as the show has been coldly serving crude humor on a platter of the most scandalous of events in pop culture history or politics for over 27 years. Apart from Donald Trump facing the axe, celebrities such as Ye, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, Tiger Woods, Bono, Mel Gibson, and many more have faced the absurdist brilliance of the show's chiding episodes. The show did not even spare the British Royals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The misadventures of Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny, and Randy Marsh efficiently tackle social and political issues with outrageous exaggerations of events that stir the pot with every sharp and witty release. Some of the most unhinged episodes of the show include All About Mormons, Ginger Kids, HumancentiPad, Trapped in the Closet, Cartoon Wars I-II, and more. Some of the show's previous jabs at Trump satirized immigration policies with dark humor, but nothing as overt as the latest deepfake satire that got the President furious beyond words.
