Gadot’s portrayal of Diana was a standout highlight within the Wonder Woman franchise. The inception of her role came in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, marking her debut. With hints of James Gunn’s involvement in the third installment, the excitement grew. Nevertheless, amidst the evolving narratives and fresh faces shaping the expanded universe, recent reports by Collider suggest that the beloved Amazonian princess might not reprise her iconic role.
As of now, the Paradise Lost prequel series is the only project in development that focuses on Wonder Woman. This tantalizing project takes a Game of Thrones-esque approach. It delves into the history of Themyscira prior to Wonder Woman’s emergence. Gadot subtly alluded to the prospect of a sequel, fueled by her deep affinity for the character and her emotional connection to it. Conversations with Gunn were also in the mix. Although, it appears that Gunn has distinct visions for the direction of the DC Universe.

Renowned as DC’s dynamic duo, Wonder Woman and Superman often captivated devoted fans when they joined forces, despite not sharing romantic affection. However, filmmaker Zack Snyder once offered a unique perspective on their connection. In his vision, both characters traced their lineage back to the ancient gods — Wonder Woman hailing from the realm of ancient Greek deities and Superman bearing ties to the ancient pantheon of Kryptonian gods.

Expanding on his intriguing vision, Snyder put forth an idea. He proposed that Wonder Woman’s lineage as the offspring of a Greek god could potentially link her to Krypton. However, this imaginative theory failed to gain approval from the comic world. In comics, Wonder Woman is not typically linked with the superfamily, but a captivating twist had the two heroes entangled romantically within the narratives of comic books.
