On Saturday, September 27, Suits creator Aaron Korsh addressed a fan query on X about Meghan Markle’s exit from the beloved legal drama in 2018. The fan asked if Markle had left because of her wedding or for another reason, and Korsh confirmed it was indeed due to her marriage. He added that while he “would have loved for her to stay” on the show, it was time for her to move on.
Meghan Markle, for those unversed, departed Suits at the end of season 7, which aired in the aforementioned year. The series continued for two more seasons without her, ultimately wrapping up after its ninth season in 2019. Her character, Rachel Zane, was written out in a way that tied directly to her real-life journey. Rachel married Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, and the couple was sent off with a happy ending in the show’s storyline. Speaking of Patrick J. Adams, meanwhile, the actor appears more than open to reuniting with Markle, now Duchess of Sussex, in any capacity.
Patrick J Adams, in a recent interview, recalled his time working with Meghan Markle on Suits while exploring how they could reconnect.
Could a Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams reunion happen soon?
Patrick J. Adams, not long ago, opened up to PEOPLE about the possibility of reuniting with Meghan Markle on the next season of her lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan. Asked if he would consider a guest spot, Adams appeared open but unsure of how he could contribute. When the interviewer suggested a photography tutorial, the actor eagerly agreed, joking he could step in as a food photographer. A reunion, however, seems far-fetched for now, with no confirmation on the series in discussion's season 3 despite the Duchess's renewed deal with Netflix.
