Wrexham’s return to the Second Division after nearly fifteen years has been a treat to witness. Despite a struggling start to their journey, the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-led side are slowly gaining their moment back. After an undefeated run throughout October, Wrexham currently stand at second position. While it is an incredible experience, fans have been missing star striker Paul Mullin.

Paul Mullin’s contribution in the 2022-23 season was above par. However, since their promotion, the star striker has not been performing half as incredibly as he did in the National League. Nevertheless, Mullin has not shied away from expressing his support to his fellow Wrexham players.

Wrexham continue to dominate the Second Division with their unbeaten run. The club recently recorded a huge win against Gillingham with 2 goals. Interestingly, the club’s talisman Paul Mullin did not start for the Red Dragons. However, that did not stop the English star striker from cheering for the rest of his team. Shortly after the victory, Mullin took to Instagram to upload a picture of Wrexham players celebrating their latest feat. He also penned a note in support of them as he wrote, “Go on the Boys” followed by a dragon emoji.

The win completed Wrexham’s ninth victory in their journey to achieve back-to-back promotions. In addition to that, the Red Dragons have now pushed themselves to the second position in the league table with an impressive 33 points. Mullin was absent during the club’s latest victory against Gillingham owing to a red card. Ryan Reynolds’s favorite striker was sent off after receiving his 5th yellow card this season against Notts County.

Paul Mullin is undoubtedly one of the biggest signings for Wrexham since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over in 2021. Since then Mullin has been a force to reckon with. However, the star striker’s journey after the promotion has been a rollercoaster. Mullin suffered a lung injury during the pre-season friendlies forcing him out for months. Despite making a comeback, the English forward seems to be struggling to make a place in the Second Division.

Mullin has only scored 6 goals for Wrexham in more than 10 appearances. Moreover, the opposition clubs have not been giving him an easy time. Owing to his impeccable track record in the league, the teams have been targeting Mullin giving him very few chances to score. Even though the player made his mark in some of the games helping Wrexham, he has a long way to reach the standard he has set.
