The golden friendship/rivalry between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman has kept Hollywood streets ringing with laughter for many years now. Their so-called feud started when Reynolds was married to his first wife, Scarlett Johansson. Since then, this long-running joke has not only been a giant topic of interest for the audience but also a source of unlimited entertainment. 

And this combo of Hollywood's most dashing actors gave the fans one of the best laughter therapies when they were busy promoting Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024.

Last year, when Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman set out to promote their first on-screen collaboration, Deadpool & Wolverine, everyone knew that the entertainment was going to be overflowing, thanks to their unending banter. Recently, The Tonight Show shared a hilarious musical face-off between the actors  for the promotion of their movie. In it, they are badly bashing each other's roles in this and other movies, screen space, physical attributes, and so much more. 

In the video, their red and yellow backgrounds were in sync with the color of their costumes, and their lyrics were filled with comparison parody. Like Hugh Jackman called himself “rough and rugged,” Ryan Reynolds opposed this opinion by calling him “old and slow.” While Jackman went on to list all his cinematic achievements, Reynolds was quick to cancel them with his sharp and witty humor. But the video ended with Jackman finally getting the upper hand on his co-star.

While this interaction was drop-dead funny, the phenomenal business the movie made last year was just jaw-dropping.

With Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman leading the helm of the superhero franchise in 2024, cash and so much more cash rained at every ticket counter of theaters all around. As the characters of Deadpool & Wolverine flexed their way to $1.3 billion in revenue around the globe, Hugh Jackman took the massive check of $50 million home. As for Ryan Reynolds, who put his whole heart and soul into the movie as producer, writer, and lead star, he was presented with a check for reportedly $85 million and was the second-highest-paid actor of 2024.

Last year the wishes of many Hollywood fans were fulfilled when they finally got to see Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman together on screen after years of waiting. And while Deadpool & Wolverine turned out to be exactly the riot of laughter and entertainment they expected, its promotional events were also no less fun-filled adventures.
