Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's brainchild, Group Effort Initiative, has signalled fresh ambitions for their next phase. Designed to transform careers behind the scenes, it is now being prepared to reach far beyond mere exposure or experience.
“We are levelling up even more”, Reynolds said in the YouTube video. His words only added more cement to his objective revealed on his YouTube channel. The program has now aimed higher than before, expanding its impact to push interns from underrepresented backgrounds into actual on-set roles and responsibilities.
For the new level, Ryan Reynolds spotlighted an Adobe-sponsored Mid-Level Bootcamp to teach participants how to advance beyond their internships. This has been initiated to help the interns propel to positions where they are the decision-makers.
“The skills to go from assistant to managers, directors, and beyond," Reynolds expressed in the YouTube video. Group Effort’s mission now stands clearer: break through barriers with meaningful, sustainable career pathways for diverse and unheard talent in Hollywood’s often exclusive ecosystem.
Like any great origin story, Group Effort started small with no cape needed, just a Reynolds and Lively's vision to rewrite Hollywood’s backstage script.
