Prince Harry and Prince William Miss out on Inheriting Princess Diana’s Childhood Home
Prince Harry and Prince William might not be on the best of terms right now, but there is no doubt that the brothers feel extremely strongly when it comes to their families. With both of them dropping everything to support their father, King Charles, after his recent cancer diagnosis, they have proved where their responsibilities lie. However, now it looks like the brothers might need to reunite to fight for what should be theirs.
While the older brother is set to take the throne from his father someday, there seems to be one thing that neither he nor the 39-year-old will ever inherit from the late Princess Diana.

According to reports from the Mirror, it was recently revealed that Prince William and Prince Harry would be missing out on inheriting their mother, Princess Diana’s childhood home. It was because the Althorp Estate had been in the Spencer family since 1508 and would be passed on to their cousin Louis. After all, he is the son of the current Earl Spencer.
While it might not seem like a big deal, the estate also holds the site of the late Princess’ resting place and would mean a lot to her two sons. Although the Princes might not officially own the land, there is no doubt that they will be able to visit and spend time with their mom’s side of the family. So far, neither the Duke of Sussex nor the Prince of Wales has commented on the matter.
While they seem to be keeping mum for the moment, there is no doubt that the estate holds a special place in their hearts. Thankfully, even Princess Diana’s brother had once felt the same way.
Charles Spencer opened up about Prince Harry and Prince William’s time at Althorp Estate
After Princess Diana’s tragic passing in 1997, she was laid to rest on the island of the Oval Lake at Althorp estate. While it might have been a little out of the way for Prince Harry and Prince William to visit, her brother, Charles Spencer, made sure that the boys got to spend time with their mother. Years ago, he even revealed that he never joined them to visit her resting place as he felt that “it’s very much their time there.”

Spencer continued that the brothers could “come and go as they wish whenever they want.” Thankfully, that has been another tradition that the brothers have kept alive. Although Prince Harry has not been there in some time, his older brother once even took Kate Middleton and his children with him to celebrate what would have been Princess Diana’s 56th birthday.
