People had high expectations from Oppenheimer and knew that it would be a cinematic masterpiece. However, no one expected an R-rated movie to be such a massive financial success. Post-COVID pandemic, fans grew accustomed to seeing movies on the small screens. However, Christopher Nolan’s biographical drama helped the audience connect with the theatres once again. Cillian Murphy’s incredible talent as an actor and Nolan’s remarkable cinematography made the movie cross a worldwide total of $912.8 million.

Fans were, however, upset with the underdeveloped female characters, which has been a consistent trend in Nolan’s movies. One of the leads, Florence Pugh, is an actress popular for her wide-ranging and committed performances in Hollywood. Many celebrities have expressed their admiration for the Little Women actress, including Millie Bobby Brown.

Pugh, who will soon feature in Dune: Part Two has been an inspiration for all the women working in the Hollywood industry. From Scarlett Johansson to Hailee Steinfeld, actresses have a strong appreciation for The Wonder star’s on-set attitude and professional ethics. Adding to the list of admirers, even the Stranger Things star appreciated the 27-year-old actress during her Enola Holmes 2 promotion in October last year. While talking to Kim Holcomb, Brown revealed that Pugh empowers her. 

When asked what empowers the 19-year-old actress, she started off by saying that it was roles like Enola Holmes that empowered her. Then she quickly jumped to mention Pugh and said, “You know what I am empowered by Florence Pugh!” Brown then went on to say how she loves the Don’t Worry Darling actress and said, “I live for her”. To which the interviewer further stated how Pugh had a universal impact on every woman, irrespective of their age. 

The mutual admiration between Pugh and Brown was very evident in the pictures from the 2022 British Academy Awards. Both the actresses hung out with each other at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Though the BAFTAs are famous for celebrating the most incredible films in the industry, Brown and Pugh shifted the focus of the event towards female friendship. Both the actresses ended up becoming the highlight of the event, flaunting their black ensembles in front of the paparazzi. Apart from their black outfits, both stars opted for black strappy sandals and a slick hairdo. Whether it was planned or just a coincidence is still up for guesses, but the stars looked nothing less than besties who ran into each other at the event. 

They also presented awards for Best Supporting Actors and walked hand in hand on the stage. Apart from Pugh, Brown also posed with Jake Bongiovi at the event. The soon-to-be-married couple coordinated their outfits, which created a lot of buzz on the internet. While Brown donned a black custom velvet gown with lace embroidery, Bongiovi went for a dashing black tux.
