Contributing to the New York Times, Louis Staples, wrote how Meghan Markle's upcoming solo Netflix Debut with With Love, Meghan marks a striking contrast to their back-to-back projects that did nothing apart from tearing the monarchy into pieces. Calling it the film's biggest strength, Staples explained how, the show, as understood from the trailer, "allows Meghan to break out of the cycle of re-litigating the royal feud on different mediums, which put the couple at risk of irrelevance the series". Produced by Archewell Productions, it appears to be a tightly controlled effort, but one aimed at goodwill.

The show's message of relentless positivity, emphasizing love, friendship, and joy, is a welcome change. Notably, Prince Harry makes only a brief appearance in the trailer, indicating how it was a clear choice cameo and not a deliberate move, signaling Markle's emergence as a solo entity. This pivot to homemaking is not random, as Markle previously ran the lifestyle blog The Tig, from 2014 to 2017.
