Jenna Ortega recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter, where she discussed her stint as Wednesday on the eponymous Netflix show. As the interviewer asked the actress if there was anything about her portrayal of the character that she looks back on and wishes she had done differently, Ortega, in all honesty, replied, “I do not think I have ever shot a scene in my life that has not kept me up at night and given me nightmares.” She further added that she cannot watch most of her work back because her self-deprecation makes her want to hide from the world following the experience.

Getting to answering strictly about Wednesday quickly though, Ortega shared how the first two weeks of production were some of the most chaotic moments of her career, as she was only a teen when she began working on the IP. When she sees old footage of her work on the same, Ortega said she can see the confusion or the stress on her face. Well, Ortega, who recently also appeared in a Hurry Up Tomorrow alongside The Weeknd, does not need to worry a great deal, as the popularity of Wednesday is all the validation she needs and more. The show is set to debut its sophomore season soon, and Netflix also recently announced some good news concerning season 3 of the endeavor.

Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, said about green lighting a third season of Wednesday that the move is reflective of the “undeniable impact” the show has left on global viewers, which has driven it to the top of the platform’s charts as their most popular English-language show. “We are thrilled to renew the iconic series for a third and to deliver what the fans love,” Bajaria added. Hopefully, the news offers Jenna Ortega a moment of peace and perhaps a better night’s sleep.
