Current President Donald Trump has long been linked to the entertainment industry. Serving as an endless source of continued entertainment, not only has he been imitated in parody countless times on SNL and other shows, but he has also made appearances in many Hollywood projects. But the 2024 biopic, The Apprentice, ticked him off to a high extent. Played on the screen by Sebastian Stan, Trump absolutely detested the light in which he was portrayed, but now now he might get his redempion with another project.

A new biopic on Donald Trump is currently in the works and will show him in a different avatar compared to last year's movie.

According to a report from Deadline, another documentary on Donald Trump is being made with a mind-blowing budget of $100 million, and is expected to portray the President in a “kinder” light. Andrea Lervolino, the producer of Ferrari and To The Bone, will be working on this project, which is expected to start shooting by the end of 2025. The involvement of Trump himself is unclear at the moment. And key members of a suitable director and a worthy actor to play the 78-year-old Trump are also yet to be finalised.

But it will be promoted to potential investors at this month’s Cannes Film Festival in France. Speaking about the project, Andrea Lervolino billed it as a major new biographical film centred on “the life and legacy of Donald J. Trump — real estate mogul, television icon, and 45th and 47th President of the United States”. This is a big cinematic change for Donald Trump, who detested his last biopic.
