Following Online Safety, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Extend Their Support With Youth Power Fund

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have long abandoned their royal titles and privileges, but they carried their humanitarian personas when they shifted overseas. Over the years, the Sussexes have consistently worked to uplift the community and make the world a better place to live. Recently, they took out their time to dedicate it to spreading awareness about the social media harm endured by the youth. 

Continuing their efforts, the couple has made another significant contribution towards youth empowerment in technology.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have long been outspoken about existing in a healthy and responsible digital space. According to a statement published on their website, Sussex.com, the Sussexes' vision is “a future where technology supports human connection". The statement also read that Prince Harry has attended the Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund (RTYPF)'s second annual in-person convening in New York this week. 

There, he addressed the attendees and stressed the importance of responsible use of technology and the role of youth voices in the field. Prince Harry also listened to the stories, ideas, and solutions expressed by the next generation of leaders. Prince Harry’s step reflects the couple’s broader vision towards the betterment of digital space. This is a commendable step by the Sussexes, who have championed another relatable cause just a day ago in New York.

Visiting the Big Apple for a spree of commitments, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry took time out of their tight schedule to engage with families of online hate victims for an emotional evening.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who visited New York this week for the Time 100 Summit at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Wednesday, also attended a big social cause the next day. On Thursday, they unveiled the Lost Screen Memorial to honour those children who have lost their lives due to online harm and hate. In support of the cause, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been working through their Archewell Foundation, and supported the victims' families with their program, The Parents’ Network, in the tough days.

Through their Archewell Foundation, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are working on uplifting the mental health of the youth. For this, they have also launched the No Child Lost to Social Media campaign, where the foundation educates parents and caregivers on technology. Just like this, in another instance of their giving back to the community, Prince Harry recently kept one of Princess Diana’s legacies alive by visiting Ukraine for a noble cause earlier in April. With their back-to-back humanitarian causes, Prince Harry and Markle continue to earn the love of the masses.
