In a show overflowing with glitter, grief, and gallons of glitter tears, one element always managed to pierce through the haze, its soundtrack. From Labrinth’s soul-stirring originals to perfect needle drops that made viewers feel like they, too, were spiraling in slow motion, Euphoria curated its music like a mood board for beautiful destruction. It was not just background noise, it was a character in itself. And now, this character may be getting a glamorous glow-up of Oscar-worthy proportions.

The heavenly soundtracks may now carry a golden aura, as producers have brought in an Oscar-winning composer for Euphoria Season 3.

Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer is set to score episodes of Euphoria Season 3, marking a major musical expansion for the series. In a statement posted by HBO Max on their off, Zimmer called it “an honor to join this incredible team of storytellers led by the visionary Sam Levinson,” and praised the show as “bold and moving.” He also acknowledged Labrinth’s influence, noting that the musician’s work “has shaped the show’s identity” in powerful, emotional ways.

Labrinth, who composed the scores for Seasons 1 and 2, is also returning. In his statement, he shared, “So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season.” Labrinth has been essential to Euphoria’s sonic world, notably collaborating with Zendaya on tracks like 'All for Us' and 'I’m Tired,' which became staples of the show’s emotional and musical identity.

When brilliance meets bold sound, a siren-forged anthem is bound to echo from Euphoria Season 3 and linger long after.

The composers may be rewriting siren calls this season

Hans Zimmer is not just walking into Euphoria blindly, he has been lingering in the show's subconscious since the pilot. Sam Levinson confessed he wrote Season 3 while listening to Zimmer’s Interstellar and True Romance scores, so the composer is already “ingrained in the creative DNA.” With Labrinth returning as well, the upcoming soundtrack promises to be both ethereal and thunderous, a marriage of galaxies and glitter. Expect crescendos timed to breakdowns and synths with soul to play while Cassie's story takes a darker turn.

If Zimmer and Labrinth were to co-compose a track produced by Zendaya, fans may simply pass out from sensory overload. A trio like that would not create music, it would summon something celestial, likely with harmonies that shimmer and hurt. The soundtrack is shaping up to be less of an album and more of an emotional ambush wrapped in vinyl. Brace yourselves; the crying may come with violins this time.
