Dev Patel Has Fans in a Chokehold as First Image From Horror Thriller ‘Rabbit Trap’ Surface
Dev Patel is that one actor who despite delivering multiple critically acclaimed performances over the years has remained a rarity on screen. Patel’s fans vehemently protest to see more of him. Earlier this year, their wish was finally fulfilled with Monkey Man- Patel’s big comeback to the screens. And now fans do not want this momentum to slow down. As the Skins actor’s first look from his upcoming psychological horror debut surfaced, fans' excitement shot through the roof.
Dev Patel would be leading the new horror film, Rabbit Trap, alongside Rosy McEwen. In the first image, the British actor and filmmaker was seen in the woods, learning something likely shocking, as he took his headphones off. The eerie look on Patel’s face was enough to catch fans’ eye, and they expressed their intrigue on Reddit. While fans were obviously looking forward to seeing Patel in a psychological horror for the first time, there is also another role they feel Patel can pull off with ease.

Ever since Monkey Man, also Patel's directorial debut, fans are convinced that he has all the qualities to be the next James Bond. With the high-octane action sequences, the balance of slick and gritty, and Bond’s signature dry humor- Monkey Man made a compelling case for Patel’s casting as 007. And with more interesting roles in the pipeline, like the Rabbit Trap one, such clamors from fans are only on the rise.

Fans also pointed out how Patel has been “making some bangers lately”. And, yes, the popular Bond calls were also sparked yet again. A fan directly declared, “I want this man as the next Bond”.

While some fans were blown away by Patel’s gritty look, saying, “I stopped reading after Dev Patel,” others were genuinely intrigued by the premise.
