Blake Lively Ends 2024 on a High Note With a Major Win for Her Hair Care Line
Blake Lively might have had a bit of a controversial year, but she is ending it on a pretty sweet note. She was part of one of the highest-grossing films of 2024 with It Ends With Us and has also been involved in her husband Ryan Reynolds' billion-dollar Deadpool project. Before she takes the much-needed year-long break that she and Reynolds are reportedly planning for 2025, Lively has finished the year with a big win for her haircare line.
Lively’s venture into the beauty world seems to be going smoothly, with her latest success adding to the list of achievements for her brand.

Blake Lively's haircare line, Blake Brown, was recently awarded the Newcomer Award by WWD magazine. To celebrate, she shared a bunch of posts on her Instagram from the event, which she called "surreal". She also mentioned that her haircare line became the "highest haircare launch" in the history of Target, the retail giant. "To be in a room of industry trail blazers was just so cool,’ the Gossip Girl star added.
What is really interesting, though, is how the very same haircare line that is now a massive success caused so much backlash for Lively just a few months back. Lively’s biggest drama this year- or maybe in her whole career- came from It Ends With Us. While promoting the film, she was also promoting Blake Brown, which did not vibe with the serious tone of the movie. However, that might not have been her plan.
A source spilled earlier this year that the timing of Lively’s haircare launch was not meant to overlap with It Ends With Us.
Blake Lively's cross-promotion of hair-care line was unintentional
Blake Lively launched Blake Brown on Instagram while she was in the middle of the It Ends With Us press tour, which included a stop at a flower-covered photo backdrop called Betty Blooms. But a source told Entertainment Weekly in August that launching Blake Brown was not supposed to happen around the same time as the movie’s premiere. The film was originally set for a Valentine’s Day release, which would have given them plenty of space between the two. But things did not go as planned.

The movie was delayed to June, then to August, just days before Lively’s haircare launch- and everything ended up happening at the same time. Some people felt that the deep, serious themes in It Ends With Us did not exactly mesh with Lively’s more laid-back promotion of her brand. But despite all the drama, it seems Lively’s brand has done pretty well for itself.
