Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews after his Iowa rally, Donald Trump boldly claimed his 60 Minutes settlement with Paramount was worth between $32 and $35 million. He described it as, “So it’s a combination of 16 plus 16 plus,” suggesting a $16 million payout combined with advertising deals. However, Paramount Global quickly dismissed his version of events. Sources confirmed, as per Variety, the settlement totaled only $16 million, with no public service announcements or free airtime on CBS. Skydance Media also denied any such side deal.

Adding to the confusion, a New York Post report suggested Skydance CEO David Ellison had quietly arranged a separate deal with Donald Trump, offering $15 to $20 million in public service announcements backing his conservative causes. Yet, Paramount swiftly dismissed these rumors in a July 2 statement, making it clear that no such PSAs were part of the agreement. Skydance declined to comment, leaving Trump’s bold claims hanging without confirmation from either party. Amid the legal wrangling and Trump’s public boasts, his wife took a surprisingly different tone—publicly praising his longtime rival, Taylor Swift.
