Arnold Schwarzenegger, ever since his formative years, has lived as the man who would turn his board towards the wave. In moments of utmost difficulty and chaos, the Austrian Oak has inspired many to persevere. This is probably why he is still considered to be the greatest of the bodybuilders. Not just as a 7 time Mr. Olympia winner but also as an actor, Schwarzenegger has left a legacy impossible to capsulate in words, but the fact that Will Smith, Tom Cruise, and more stand among his greatest fans, says a lot. And while the actor has achieved most on his own vision and drive, he also owes to those he saw as a hero.

At the time Schwarzenegger was emerging as the next big star, Clint Eastwood had already established himself as one. While the two have not worked together, they have walked and skied through many years of life. And to this day, Clint Eastwood remains one of the greatest inspirations from the Austrian Oak.

The 75-year-old actor made a big comeback through a new route with FUBAR on Netflix. And much like any promotional season for Schwarzenegger, it did not go by without the Austrian Oak waxing poetic about Clint Eastwood. However, FUBAR’s release coincidentally came around the time of The Bridges of Madison Country actor’s 93rd birthday. And Schwarzenegger celebrated it by sharing one of his warmest memories with the legend, ironically on a ski trip.

The Terminator actor penned down a wholesome birthday message for Clint Eastwood as he said, “At 93, you prove that heroes don’t retire – they reload. You’re a legend.”

The message followed the Austrian Oak, calling the 93-year-old actor his inspiration, mentor, and a “wonderful friend.” But sadly not a co-star.

Schwarzenegger, in his prime in the industry, was mostly known for his roles in action movies. And this often led to him being paired up with other well-known actors during that time. However, despite being fond of each other, Clint Eastwood and Arnold Schwarzenegger never worked together.

This strikes as weird to fans, given the fact that he worked with Sylvester Stallone even though they had a feud. But despite searching far and wide, it seems like the only reason the two legends could never work together is because of conflicting schedules.
